Pro Wrestling NOAH “YEAR END in KORAKUEN”, 12/27/2014 [Sat] 18:00 @ Korakuen Hall in Tokyo
NOAH held a ceremony for their own year end awards.
Naomichi Marufuji won the honor of Most Valuable Player of the Year, and Takashi Sugiura vs. Daisuke Sekimoto won the honor of Best Bout of the Year.
(1) Atsushi Kotoge & Taiji Ishimori vs. Daisuke Harada & Genba Hirayanagi
◆Winner: Genba (12:13) following the Shoryu Genba on Ishimori.
(2) Takeshi Morishima & Maybach Taniguchi vs. Yoshinari Ogawa & Masao Inoue [FREE]
◆Winner: Maybach (5:13) with the Maybach Press on Inoue.
(3) Quiet Storm & Hitoshi Kumano vs. Yuko Miyamoto [666] & Isami Kodaka [UNION]
◆Winner: Miyamoto (9:41) with a Manji (Octopus) Cobra on Kumano.
~ Yankee Nichokenju with the win and afterwards stated that they look to continue competing in NOAH and that no directions are off limits.
[Nichokenju looking to continue competing in NOAH in definiting a good thing in my opinion. One of the more solid tag teams in Japan today, but this talk of “all directions” is interesting. Do they mean the junior and or heavyweight belt? As they are a junior team by definition, but are good enough to take on everyone. Much like Marufuji.
If we go by the MVP standards, TMDK vs. Nichokenju is much talked about as match that should happen. I guess we will see what is in store for them in 2015. - BushidoRX]

(6) GHC Tag Prelude 6 Man Tag Match: Takashi Sugiura & Akitoshi Saito vs. Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste
◆Winner: Nicholls (11:55) following the Thunder Valley on Saito.
~ TMDK with the win in the prelude as they look to reclaim the GHC Tag belts on January 10th.

~ Kojima once more proves himself over the NOAH talent, as he is now carrying the momentum heading into the title match on January 10th over NOAH’s MVP.
