Christmas Eve didn’t go exactly as planned for a WWE legend. Kevin Nash, former WWE champion, was arrested for battery after a fight with his son broke out that night. Nash’s son, who went after his mother, ended up getting taken down by Nash, which led to both men being put in jail on Christmas Eve. Needless to say, Nash’s act will result in consequences with his employers.

Nash is employed by the WWE under a Legends deal, which allows them to sell Nash merchandise and use him on television on special occasions. For example, the last appearance Nash made in the WWE was for Hulk Hogan’s birthday bash. The entire nWo came back for that special night.

Nash, who never escaped from the controversial acts during his career, made friends in the business that are very important to the WWE. Triple H and Shawn Michaels were 3/5 of the Kliq in the 90s. Right now, HHH is second-in-command to Vince McMahon in the WWE. Well, Nash ended being suspended from his WWE Legends deal after the arrest, but it was unknown who actually suspended him.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Nash’s suspension came from one of his former Kliq brethren, Triple H.

“As noted, Kevin Nash has been pulled from the January 19th RAW Reunion show in Dallas and his WWE Legends deal was suspended while the domestic case from Christmas Eve with his son is worked out.

“It’s no secret that Nash and Triple H have been good friends for years. It would have been Triple H who made the decision to suspend Nash’s deal and he would have been the one to inform Nash.”

As the Observer noted, there was a reunion on Raw planned for the nWo. Shawn Michaels, Scott Hall, and Nash were all rumored to be there in over two weeks. There isn’t a new plan in place to have the reunion without Nash being there. Also, the suspension is said to be indefinite, which might harm the relationship between WWE and the former World Heavyweight champion.

Whatever the case may be, WWE made the proper decision by suspending Nash from the Legends deal. Vince McMahon said many times that nobody is bigger than the WWE. Nash’s contributions to the WWE are grand, but he barely shows up on Raw as it is. Suspending him for getting arrested is the responsible move.

The one thing that might upset the WWE Universe is the potential cancellation of the Raw reunion. WWE can have it without Kevin Nash, but it won’t be the same without the original nWo present. Since Triple H is a heel, there’s a slight possibility that he might address Nash on the microphone on that night. There was already one curtain call at Madison Square Garden. A second is possible.

Just a way for Wwe to distance themselves from the situation. There's a reason it was just suspended and not terminated. Once this all blows over he will be back.
