With just about 24 hours to go until the Royal Rumble, three superstars have been pulled from the battle royal match without any type of explanation from WWE. The 30-man match already had a lot of open spots, but now these extra three leave the door open for some other rumored and surprise entrants.

Let it be known that some possible SPOILERS are ahead so continue reading at your own risk.

On Saturday, WWE.com updated their list of rumble match participants and three names were taken off of the list. Justin Gabriel and both members of Los Matadores were removed from the list of confirmed entrants, and there is no explanation given as to why.

Roman Reigns
Daniel Bryan
United States Champion Rusev
Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett
Bray Wyatt
Dean Ambrose
Goldust
Stardust
Big Show
Kane
The Miz
Damien Mizdow
R-Truth
Dolph Ziggler
Ryback
Fandango
Luke Harper
That now leaves the list of entrants at 17 with 13 spots still open. Some surprise entrants could be thrown into the match with Rob Van Dam, Bo Dallas, Diamond Dallas Page, and Randy Orton having their names thrown around.

Joey Styles even thinks that Brock Lesnar himself could be in the match and he expects him to go on to win the whole thing.

With the extra spots open in the Royal Rumble match, there is a lot of speculation that two former WWE and TNA stars could show up — The Dudley Boyz.

According to WrestleZone, there have been recent talks between Bully Ray (aka Bubba Ray Dudley) and Devon (D-Von Dudley) about returning to the company. These are only rumors at this point, and it’s possible that their returns could be surprises in the big rumble match.

For about a year now, there has been talk of the Dudleyz returning to WWE, and even talk that they could end up as trainers in NXT. Devon is nearing the end of his career most likely, and that could end up being the perfect spot for him.

Bully Ray (Bubba) still believes he has a few years left in him, and he’s actually in some of the best shape of his life. It’s very possible he could have a successful singles career in WWE and step right in as a top-notch heel.

Many are wondering who will win the Royal Rumble, but now, there has been more talk about who will show up at all. With three taken out of the match and 13 spots open, the WWE could be turned upside-down soon .

The truth is that they are probably replaced by the surprised entrants, and that is just as well if you ask me
