Pro Wrestling NOAH held the press signing for the upcoming GHC Tag Championship match on February 11th between the champions “TMDK”, Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste, against the challenegers, NWA World Tag Champions “Killer Elite Squad (K.E.S.)”, Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr.
Suzuki-gun (Army / SZKG) have been, for the most part, dominated NOAH since making their presence known early in January and the upcoming GHC Tag match will mark the first of potentially many title defenses taking place against NOAH and the invading SZKG. Killer Elite Squad have put everyone on notice that they are out to “kill” everything in NOAH. Both the champions sort of smiled off the kill comment as they stated that their name TMDK stands for the The Might Don’t Kneel, but that it can also mean T as in torture, M as in Murder, D as in destroy, and K as in kill. That they are the reigning champions and the rightful ones at that. This led to K.E.S. firing back that TMDK isn’t even on the same level as them as they have yet to achieve a global track record as them. K.E.S. stands in a totally different league than the Australian duo. K.E.S. stands to continue proving that they are the best tag team in the world by adding yet another belt to their names.
The two teams ended up in a face-to-face confrontation to the end the press conference. Which saw K.E.S. flipping the table and chairs next to them. K.E.S. looks to claim the first belt in the NOAH versus SZKG war, but now it is time for TMDK to prove that their win over the former champions in Dangan Yankees, the 2014 Tag Team of the Year, was nothing more than a fluke.
