NXT WOMEN IN THE MAIN EVENT; AN ANNOUNCER TRADES IN HIS MIC FOR TIGHTS; SAMI ZAYN SPEAKS; AND MORE

We begin with comments from Kevin Owens from last week and his comments about going on to face Finn Balor, the Number One Contender for the NXT Title. We see Balor’s match against THE Brian Kendrick and Kevin’s attempt to make sure that Alex Riley would be a former announcer by the end of the night.
Alex Riley is with William Regal and he demands a match against Kevin Owens. William tells Alex he can be a competitor or a wrestler. Alex points out that Regal did it, but Regal reminds him that he faced Cesaro and hasn’t been in the ring since. Alex says that he is in the prime of his career. Alex is told that he has to make the choice between an announcer or a competitor.

We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Alex Riley, Rich Brennan, and Jason Albert


Match Number One: Adam Rose (with Rosebuds) versus Tyler Breeze (with Selfie Stick)


Before the match, Tyler and Adam try to outsit each other on the turnbuckles.

Rose chases Breeze around the ring and Rose stops and the crowd cheers for him. Breeze shows some frustration and they finally lock up and Breeze with an arm drag and he rests on the turnbuckles. Rose rolls around the ring and Breeze runs away from him and then Rose catches Breeze and hits a reverse atomic drop and Rose mocks Breeze’s ding ding issues.

Rose sends Breeze into the turnbuckles and he goes to the turnbuckles and Rose lands on the knee with a reverse atomic drop. Rose with a chop but Breeze chops back. Both men have trouble breathing due to their lower groinal strikes. Rose with a kick in the ropes followed by a series of shoulder tackles. Rose with a slam and a running Slice into the corner but Breeze with the Beauty Shot for the three count.


Winner: Tyler Breeze


After the match, The Rosebuds refuse to move from the ramp and Breeze uses his Selfie Stick as if it was a light saber.

We see photos of Sasha Banks winning the NXT Women’s Title. Tonight, she faces Charlotte as she gets her rematch.

We go to Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady along with Carmella. They are asked about the comments from Blake and Murphy. Enzo says they got loose cheeks. They need to wipe the crap off their lips. Colin says you talk to them first, not Carmella. Carmella says they made her throw up in her mouth. Carmella tells Enzo and Colin they need to beat them.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Alexa Bliss is asked where she has been. Alexa mentions she suffered a nose injury and she needed to take some time off. She mentions how important the title match is tonight. She says that regardless of who wins, she is coming after the Boss.


Match Number Two: Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy versus Angelo Dawkins and Sawyer Fulton in a Non Title Match


Fulton and Murphy start things off and Fulton with a waist lock take down. Fulton with another waist lock take down. Fulton with a fireman’s carry into an arm bar. Fulton with a waist lock but Murphy with an elbow. Fulton with a side head lock. Murphy with forearms and Blake makes the blind tag. They hit a double back elbow and Blake gets a near fall. Blake with a reverse chin lock.

Fulton with a snap mare and forearm and Dawkins tags in and he clotheslines Murphy and connects with jabs and he goes after Blake but Murphy with a leg lariat and he kips up. Blake tags in and Murphy with a suplex and Blake with a frog splash for the three count.


Winners: Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy


We go to Charlotte and Bayley in the locker room and Bayley says that they haven’t been the best of friends lately ands she wishes Charlotte luck. Charlotte says Sasha will need the luck.

Emma stops by and she asks Bayley if she wants to use the bubble machine later. Bayley says she doesn’t and Emma says she doesn’t either. Bayley says she is going to watch the main event, but Emma suggests that Bayley should have been in the main event. Emma says that she was nice on Raw and now she is back in NXT.

We go to commercial.

We are back with a Rhyno video package.


Match Number Three: Baron Corbin versus Tony Briggs


They lock up and Corbin sends Briggs into the ropes. Briggs says something to Corbin while Kevin Owens has joined the commentary team standing behind Alex Riley. Corbin sends Briggs into the ropes and connects with a punch and he follows with End of Days for the three count.


Winner: Baron Corbin


Meanwhile, back at the announce table Kevin continues to stare at Alex while Jason advises Alex not to do anything foolish.

Kevin takes Alex’s water and he drinks it, but he does not finish it and he decides to make sure that Alex’s hair does not dry out and he pours it on his head. Alex gets in Kevin’s face but Jason holds him back.

Kevin turns his back on Riley and he slowly walks away, but Alex does not do anything.

We go to comments from Sami Zayn. Sami is in Montreal and he mentions the tour of Abu Dhabi was great. In his time away from NXT, he cannot help but notice that the landscape of NXT has changed dramatically. New faces like Solomon Crowe and returning faces like Rhyno and The Brian Kendrick. New number one contenders and new champions.

Sami says that it is March 1st and today is his thirteen year anniversary in the business. He says for the first time in his career, he does not seem mentally prepared. That is why he is walking the streets at two in the morning. This is where Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn started twelve years ago.

Sami says that he has not watched the match with Kevin Owens yet, but when he does, maybe he can put into words what he is going to do

CJ Parker is talking to William Regal and Alex Riley storms in and says that he is no longer an announcer.

Regal tells Riley he needs to sign a talent contract and he has to prove himself to face Kevin Owens.

CJ reminds Alex that he is the one who left a mark on Owens. Riley tells CJ he will kick his ass next week.


Match Number Four: Bull Dempsey versus Solomon Crowe


Dempsey with a kick and forearms followed by kicks. Crowe has a kick blocked but Crowe with forearms. Dempsey with a head butt and punches to Crowe. Dempsey runs his forearm across the bridge of the nose and then he tells Crowe this is his house.

Crowe with a punch and he tries for a slam but he collapses under Dempsey’s weight and Dempsey gets a near fall. Dempsey with crossfaces followed by kicks and he gets a near fall. Dempsey with a rear chin lock. Crowe backs Dempsey into the turnbuckles and he snap mares Dempsey and slams him. Dempsey with a jumping body block and he goes up top for the diving head butt, but Crowe moves. Dempsey gets back to his feet but Crowe with a running knee into the corner followed by a forearm and then he hits a rebound splash for the three count.


Winner: Solomon Crowe


We go to commercial.


Match Number Five: Sasha Banks versus Charlotte for the NXT Women’s Title


Sasha avoids Charlotte when Charlotte is ready to lock up. Sasha continues to avoid Charlotte. Sasha hides behind the referee and then Charlotte blocks a kick and she spins Sasha around and hits a forearm. Charlotte with chops but Sasha goes to the floor. Sasha takes her title belt and starts to walk to the back to get counted out.

Sasha walks up the ramp but Charlotte grabs Sasha and runs her into the apron and then sends her into the ring. Charlotte sends Sasha into the turnbuckles and then gets a near fall with a rollup. Charlotte with a knee to the midsection and she goes for the figure four leg lock. Charlotte tries to bridge to add more pressure but Sasha gets to the ropes.

Sasha rolls to the floor and we go to commercial.

We are back and Sasha sends Charlotte to the mat and she applies the Bank Statement but Charlotte leans back and gets a near fall. Sasha with a crucifix for a near fall. Charlotte gets Sasha on her shoulders but Sasha with elbows. Charlotte with a running backpack stunner and then Charlotte goes up top for a moonsault, but Sasha moves. Charlotte lands on her feet and Charlotte tries for a flip leg drop, but Sasha gets her knees up.

Sasha with boots to Charlotte and she taunts Charlotte before sending her to the mat and she stands on Charlotte’s back. Sasha sends Charlotte into the turnbuckles and she chokes her in the corner with her boot. The referee warns Sasha. Sasha with forearms and then she puts Charlotte on the middle rope for the knee drop to the back.

Sasha with a bow and arrow to Charlotte using the ring post but she releases the hold before the referee can get to five. Sasha gets a near fall. Sasha with a Japanese Stranglehold into a lungblower and she holds on to the cross arm choke and she stretches Charlotte on her knees and then Sasha uses her leg for extra pressure.

Charlotte does not tap out as Sasha returns to putting Charlotte over her knees while holding on to the cross arm choke. Charlotte gets to her feet and she gets a near fall with a rollup. Sasha with a drop kick and she gets a near fall. Sasha with another lungblower into the Bank Statement and she pulls back to stretch Charlotte but Charlotte rolls through but Sasha holds on to the hold. Charlotte reaches for the ropes and she finally gets there.

Sasha charges at Charlotte but Charlotte sends Sasha to the floor and Charlotte takes some time to recover from the work done on her back. Sasha returns to the ring and Charlotte with forearms but Sasha with chops and forearms. Charlotte with a neck breaker and spear for a near fall.

Charlotte tries for a suplex but Sasha lands on her feet. Sasha with a victory roll driver out of a wheelbarrow for a near fall. Sasha mocks the Flair family and tries for a figure four but Charlotte kicks her away. Sasha with an elbow but Charlotte goes for the knee with a clip and she applies the figure four leg lock using the ring post but she releases the hold before the referee can get to five.

Charlotte goes for Natural Selection from the turnbuckles but Sasha holds on to the ropes. Sasha gets the three count and may have had her feet on the ropes for extra leverage that was not seen by the referee.


Winner: Sasha Banks
