EVOLVE announced today that TJ Perkins, who now competes under a hood as Manik in TNA, would be working their Wrestlemania events in California next week. Perkins was one of the original planned stars of EVOLVE when that concept was launched several years back but had a falling out, complete with trash talking the company on Twitter. What led to the return was Gabe Sapolsky and Sal Hamaoui had been trying to figure out talents for the weekend who worked a style that fit into what they were doing and Perkins' name came up. They decided that what was said was in the past and who cared at this point if it helped the shows, reached out and booked Perkins.
On Thursday 3/26 at EVOLVE 39, it will be Rich Swann, Ricochet & Uhaa Nation vs. Caleb Konley, Brian Cage & TJ Perkins.
On Friday, 3/27 at EVOLVE 40, it will be Perkins vs. Drew Gulak, which sounds really intriguing on paper.
