Tatsumi Fujinami took part in a press conference in Tokyo, Japan before he heads to the USA to be inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Fujinami stated that he is leaving tomorrow, 3/26, as he will then be inducted by another Hall of Famer in Ric Flair on the 28th. He then plans on watching Wrestlemania 31 as guest along with his son LEONA and his wife who will also be coming with him on the trip.

Fujinami, who is former WWWF Junior Heavyweight Champion (1978) and also a former WWF International Heavyweight Champion (1982), stated that his time competing in the USA as well as Madison Square Garden really began a new life for his a pro wrestler. He then said that is an honor to be inducted by Ric Flair which the two have had a longtime rivalry throughout their careers.

He also gave some positive words to KENTA, now Hideo Itami in WWE/NXT, as he hopes to see him do his best and one day blossom on the big stage. He also wished him the best of luck on the chance to compete at Wrestlemania by winning the NXT tournament that is scheduled to take place this week.

Fujinami stated that this is a really big honor for himself but in no means the close of his chapter as a professional wrestler. As he previously stated that he has all the intentions of having a lifelong active career in the ring as long as he is still able to do so. With his next upcoming match scheduled against Masakatsu Funaki on May 11 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
