We return to a full slate of shows, but we only saw an increase of 29 minutes from last week even though NXT and Ring of Honor provided qualifying matches this week after taking a week off from this column’s qualifications. While most of the shows were within a few minutes of their totals from the previous week, Raw saw a 16 minute decrease. It took almost a year, but we finally broke the record for the number of matches in a single week. The week of April 28, 2014 saw 36 matches on the seven shows. This week, we had 37.

Raw won the week with 40 minutes of wrestling, the first drop after three weeks of increasing totals. Impact secured second place one more time with 31 minutes, down one minute from last week. Smackdown secured third place with 27 minutes of wrestling, down two minutes from last week. NXT returned in fourth place after not having a qualifying match on the show, up one minute from the last time there were qualifying matches. Ring of Honor finished in fifth place with 23 minutes, down 5 minutes from the last week of qualifying matches. Main Event stayed at 21 minutes to finish in sixth place. Superstars added a minute to last week’s total to end with 11 minutes but was not enough to get out of last place.

We had another week with three ten minute matches but the number of one minute matches increased from one to five this week.

With Raw and Smackdown providing us with almost half of the matches this week, it is not surprising that with the averages down this week, both shows would average less than 4 minutes per match.

Raw was able to pass 9,600 mintues this week while Smackdown passed 7,700 minutes, and Main Event passed 2,800 minutes. Ring of Honor has cut the gap to catch Superstars and move into fifth place overall to 58 minutes so we are about a month away, if there are no Road Rage episodes on the horizon. If we get a focus on wrestling this week, we may be able to hit 41,000 minutes of wrestling.

We passed 7,300 total matches this week while Impact passed 1,300 matches.

We are two weeks away from passing 2,600 total hours of wrestling and hitting 1,900 hours for WWE programming. In a month, Raw will become the first show to have 700 hours of programming.
