All Japan announced that Akebono will be defending the Triple Crown against Kento Miyahara and Kotaro Suzuki will be defending the World Junior belt against Hikaru Sato on June 21 in Sapporo.
Miyahara will be getting a second chance at the Triple Crown just 3 months after losing in a challenge against the former champion Go Shiozaki back at the end of March. The difference being here that Miyahara holds a victory over the current champion following this years Champion Carnival tournament on April 11th. The challenger has positioned himself as the top contender because of the current victory over the champion and a recent pin-fall victory over another former champion in Suwama on 6/4 in a Xceed vs Evolution Captain’s Fall Elimination match.
Then speaking of Xceed vs Evolution, Kotaro Suzuki will be defending the World Junior belt against Pancrase MISSION’s Hikaru Sato. Hikaru picked up an elimination over the champion on the 6/4 elimination match. Hikaru took no time to call out for a defense of the champion in which Kotaro accepted it without hesitation.
