Akebono was given one of Giant Baba's favorite Cadillac's following his recent defense this past weekend.
Motoko Baba is more than pleased with the Yokozuna's recent accomplishments in the ring and wants to give him more encouragement to continue working hard for All Japan Pro-Wrestling in the future.
The Cadillac has the number "16" engraved on it in honor of Giant Baba's signature move and boot size. This car was also the last that Baba had purchased before his passing in 1999.
Akebono stated that he will take excellent car of the car as he plans to take it to the shows as well. When asked about his next defense, Akebono once more mentioned UNION's Shuji Ishikawa as apparently the two will meet once again in a tag match on the July 8th show at the Korakuen Hall. The two met earlier in June in a tag match which gained a bit of press of the possibility of the two big men having a singles match in the future. Which now seems more and more like a possibility depending on how the upcoming tag matches goes.
