On Friday, UFC announced the co-main event for the UFC 193 pay-per-view at the 60,000+ seat Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Australia.
Headlined by Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm for the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship, UFC 193 will feature a co-main event of Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Valerie Letourneau for the UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship.
The event holds a lot of significance, as it will likely break the UFC’s all-time record, set by Georges St-Pierre vs. Jake Shields at the Rogers Center in Toronto, and the fact that the top two fights on the card that will set the all-time attendance record happen to be women’s title bouts only makes it that much more of a hisotrical event.
