Back in the 90s, a citrus-flavored soda ruled the underground world. It went by the name "Surge," and it was often the drink of choice at LAN parties. Nobody knows of the harm this green-colored poison had on the human body, but for whatever reason Coca-Cola decided to discontinue making Surge at the start of this century.

It wasn't until last year that Coke brought it back via Amazon, where you could buy a 12-pack of 16-oz cans for $14. For at least one day, Surge lovers could suck down this sweet green nectar of the gods.

But now, Surge is making an official comeback. As of this week, the beloved drink is available in select stores in the Midwest, South, upper Great Plains states, and some eastern states. Over on the Surge web site, you'll soon find a map with specific store locations plus independent resellers. For you dedicated Surge drinkers who prefer to do their shopping from the comfort of your home, you can find cans of this citrus-flavorted soda "with other natural flavors" over on the Amazon Pantry.
