MUFON, the Mutual UFO Network released this breaking news.

On September 16, 2015, Former International Executive Director of MUFON, Walter H. Andrus, Jr. has passed away.

On September 21, 2015, mid-morning funeral services were held for him in Seguin, Texas at the Goetz Funeral Chapel.

Walt Andrus was 94 years old. It’s assumed he died of natural causes. Andrus had been retired from his 30-year service in MUFON for the past 15 years. He was referred to simply as “Walt” by those who knew him well.

Andrus was the second Executive Director of MUFON, though he first co-founded the organization in 1969. Some say that MUFON was created out of a need to replace the crumbling NICAP, which is no longer in existence. MUFON is considered to be one of the largest reporting centers for alleged UFO and ET activity in the world.

Andrus was serious about his research of alleged UFO sightings and ET contact, with many friends and fellow colleagues who agree that he shaped MUFON into the network that it is today.

Walter Andrus Jr. became a pilot in 1947, the same year of the purported Roswell Incident.
In addition, Walter Andrus Jr. was an amateur radio enthusiast.
