CBS Sports broke the news today that The Big Bossman (Ray Traylor) is being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year. WWE.com has since confirmed the story.

The former corrections officer from Cobb County, Georgia had memorable runs in both WWE and WCW. He made his WWF debut back int he late 1980’s and was managed by the Doctor of Style, Slick. Bossman would soon be paired up with Akeem and they’d wrestle as the Twin Towers tag team. Bossman eventually went solo and was an ally of Hulk Hogan during the early 90’s. During his singles run, he had memorable programs with Nailz, The Mountie.

After a stint in WCW, he’d later return to WWE in the late 90’s at the height of the Attitude Era. He feuded witht he likes of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Mick Foley and The Undertaker, Big Show and Al Snow. He was a 4-time tag team champion and a former WWE Hardcore Championship.

Bossman joins Sting, The Godfather and the Fabulous Freebirds as members of the WWE’s Hall of Fame’s Class of 2016. The induction ceremony takes place on Saturday, April 2nd from Dallas, Texas.
