WWE Intercontinental Champion The Miz and his wife Maryse were Michael Cole’s guest for this week’s WWE.com interview. Here are some highlights:
– Cole talks about Miz and Maryse being WWE’s “it couple.” Miz said they look, act and carry themselves like stars and everybody wants to be them. Miz said his life is a dream come true and they’re role models for everybody. Members of the WWE Universe who can’t live extravagant lives live vicariously through them.
– Cole says the world wants to know when Miz and Maryse will have a baby. Miz said Maryse always talks about starting a family and she said she wants twins (a boy and a girl). Miz wants to be “the dad that’s there” and right now, his career is too hot to slow down. He lives the life of a champion.
– Cole congratulated Maryse on joining the cast of Total Divas. Cole suggests that Maryse will “throw a wrench” into the current vibe of the show and will make things different. Maryse says she’ll bring a different side of herself to the show.
– At Payback, Miz defends the IC title against Cesaro. Miz said there’s no denying how good Cesaro is and how much the audience loves him. Miz puts over Cesaro as one of the most entertaining, captivating Superstars in WWE. He added that Cesaro is also incredibly strong and his move set is second to none. Unfortunately, Cesaro is coming back from an injury and Miz smells weakness. Miz plans to exploit that weakness to retain his championship.
– Thursday on SmackDown, The Miz will have AJ Styles as a guest on Miz TV and plans to get to the bottom of Gallows and Anderson’s recent attacks on Roman Reigns and The Usos. Miz suspects AJ Styles is the mastermind, since Styles can’t beat Roman Reigns by himself.
