Here are some highlights from the WWE First Quarter Earnings call with Vince McMahon and George Barrios today:
– WWE Network had 19 hours of primetime content during Wrestlemania 32 week and subscribers watched 22 million hours.
– They have 650 million social media followers and 450 billion video views across all platforms.
– Vince confirmed Seth Rollins, John Cena, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton returning soon, and touted 13 new stars on the roster.
– Superstar Ink and Game Night will be returning to their online platforms.
– They expect to hit 1.5 million subscribers in the second quarter (by the end of June).
– Vince feels good about where they’re at with health & wellness. Injuries have always happened but they’re ‘more visible’ now.
– They’re excited about Total Bellas, which they developed with E! and think it will be a lot of fun.
– They acknowledged the crackdown on WWE Network sharing of accounts but don’t believe the sharing was hurting revenue.
– They believe Tapout is a great fit for their brand and audience.
