A press conference and signing ceremony for the upcoming title defenses on May 28 in Osaka.
The GHC Junior Tag belts were up first as Daisuke Harada and Atsushi Kotoge and Kenoh and Hajime Ohara were present. The two top junior teams will face-off once more as the challengers look to upset the champions in their hometown of Osaka. Ohara though is coming into the match with injured ribs, but he is not going to let them get in the way in his pursuit to become champion once more. The champions declared that they will retain in Osaka.
Then Yoshinobu Kanemaru and Hitoshi Kumano appeared as they signed off on the GHC Junior title match. This will be Kumano’s first ever challenge for the belt as he aims to claim the upset and return the belt back to NOAH. While Kanemaru appeared confident in that he will be leaving as champion.
Lance Archer and Davy Boy Smith Jr. and Naomichi Marufuji and Toru Yano then came out for the signing for the GHC Tag match. The dominating champions K.E.S. declared that they will be leaving Osaka still the reigning champions as they look to continue their 500+ days as champions. While Yano has stated that he is on NOAH’s side and looks to help Marufuji reclaim the belts form the threat of Suzuki-gun. The challengers are coming in after winning the Global Tag League as they brought a unique mix to the tag division. Though will this prove to be championship material is yet to be seen.
Then Takashi Sugiura and Go Shiozaki appeared for the signing for the GHC Heavyweight belt. What appeared to be a normal signing quickly turned into chaos as Sugiura chose to not answer and questions and preceded to assault the challenger. Sugiura flipped over the table in front of him and jumped all over Shiozaki. This was then followed by a chair shot as he then left the room with an angered Shiozaki trying to get to his feet. Shiozaki finally managed to rise to his feet as he declared that he will once more be a GHC champion.
