Dennis Wright, who appeared in court today to try and get his bond reduced, was told by a Florida judge that it will remain $450,000.

Wright is charged in the hit-and-run incident that killed Bellator MMA fighter Jordan Parsons earlier this year.

According to reports by CBS’ Chuck Weber, the judge denied Wright because of his past driving history. His mother appeared in court claiming to have raised $15,000 to get her son out on bond.

The 25-year-old was ran over by a Range Rover driven by Wright in May. He had the bottom portion of his right leg amputated before passing away three days later.
