WWENetworkNews reports that WWE has purchased part of the tape library belonging to former developmental territory Heartland Wrestling Association. Trainer and booker Les Thatcher, who ran HWA, worked with WWE to secure the library.
No word yet on when WWE may start airing the HWA footage on the WWE Network but they did not purchase the entire library. Thatcher told WNN that around 48 episodes from 2001 and 2002 were purchased. We could see Superstars such as John Cena, Charlie Haas and Nick Dinsmore.
