The Missouri Office of Athletics has overturned the result of the Invicta FC 20 main event, meaning Tonya Evinger is once again the bantamweight champion.
Evinger appealed her loss to Yana Kunitskaya, citing the referee for ruling a move she made was illegal. Evinger believes the ruling led to Kunitskaya being able to sink in her armbar tighter, forcing her to tap and drop the belt.
In a release on the Invicta FC website, Shannon Knapp stated the promotion is “working on scheduling a potential rematch” as soon as they can.
