WWE World Champion AJ Styles did not work tonight’s SmackDown house show in Tyler, TX. The main event instead saw Dean Ambrose vs. The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler in a Triple Threat.
Styles was pulled from the ring as a “precautionary measure,” according to PWInsider.
As we reported earlier, Styles suffered a minor ankle injury during the main event of WWE TLC on Sunday night. No word yet on if he will still defend the WWE World Championship against James Ellsworth on SmackDown but we will keep you updated.
