WWE has announced that Tajiri is currently out of action with a right knee injury.
The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion suffered the injury during the 1/5 NXT TV tapings as he teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura to defeat Bobby Roode and Samoa Joe, reported to be a dark match.
Tajiri recently re-signed with the company for NXT and 205 Live.
No word yet on when he will be back in the ring.
