– Earlier this week there were reports that WWE producer Brian James (Road Dogg) had been promoted as the new head writer of SmackDown, replacing Ryan Ward. It turns out that James was in fact promoted, but isn’t replacing Ward as head writer. James now has a position that’s been described as “Head Consultant.” It’s a similar role as he had before and there wasn’t a major shakeup, but he’s been promoted in title.

– “Bushwacker” Luke Williams posted a message on Facebook that fellow legend Fred Ottman (Tugboat, Typhoon, Shockmaster) has been hospitalized for the past two weeks and not doing well. Ottman is rumored to be a 2017 WWE Hall of Fame inductee.

Matey's Big Fred, Tugboat has been in hospital for 15 plus days and not doing well. He needs all the prayers from you…
