TNA World Champion Bobby Lashley recently did an interview with The Sun where he discussed his future in MMA. Lashley noted that he couldn’t replace Matt Mitrione to fight Fedor on short notice due to a scheduling conflict, and also talked about Brock Lesnar.
Despite Lesnar reportedly giving notice to UFC that he’s retiring from MMA, Lashley is still hopeful that a fight with the former UFC Heavyweight Champion is possible. As far as a time frame goes, Lashley wants his next big fight as soon as possible.
“I told the boss that I wanted the Lesnar fight and he said he didn’t know and then I told him I wanted the Fedor fight and he said he didn’t know that either! I told him ‘I have been calling and I want something.’ They’re both big paydays and I am not getting younger but right now I am in great shape.”
