RECAP OF CHRIS JERICHO'S XM RADIO SHOW

.Starts the show off at 8:01PM with 3 King Diamond songs:" Funeral", "Arrival" & "A Mansion Of Darkness".

.Y2J says [in a very odd accent] "Welcome to 'Soft Rock' on XM radio's ch.27 [Cinemagic: http://************/ptc67 ], I'm your host 'Matthias J. Grumbleberry' & that was the smooth sounds of Herb Albert & The Tijuana", then spits & says you were fooled if you believed that 1 & says this ain't smooth jazz but the 1 & only Rock Of Jericho: http://************/rssxe right here on XM 41 Da Boneyard: http://************/6hmt6 . He says it's Sunday night, asked if you thought you had the wrong station & if he fooled you & says Happy April Fools twice. He says his associate just told him that it's not April Fools but October Fools, says it's 10/1 not 4/1 but he's still doing his show. He says because it's October & it's getting near the time for Halloween, then says "Oh, it's scary times, scary times" & asks as to who's 1 of the scariest rock & roll/heavy metal rockers of all time & says it's King Diamond & the awesome "Abigail" record which he says is a concept record. He says he's played this record & the songs on it before, says he's talked about King Diamond's great lineup with guitarist Andy LaRocque, drummer Mikkey Dee who's now in Motorhead & says Motorhead will release their new record "Kiss Of Death" [which came out 8/29: http://************/gehp7 ]. He says he's seen the cover of "Kiss Of Death" & it's the same cover that's on every Motorhead record, says it's always that "weird looking horn guy" but every single record's the same cover. He says it's not like Iron Maiden where they have "Eddie" [their mascot] is the powerslave guy or on a tank, says he don't know where he's going with this & says King Diamond & the "Abigail" record is a concept & horror record. He says he always wondered if King Diamond ever thought about writing a horror movie screenplay, says it's obvious that he's got the chops for it, says he always had & had the great trilogy for "Conspiracy", "Them" & "Abigail". He says all kind of related, concept records that's based upon a ghostly, demonic presence that returns, impregnates someone, comes back thru birth, says Abigail & Marion are involved & says it's a very interesting thing. He says you should Google it, says "GOO-GLEH" twice & says to get down on the King Diamond clown: http://************/gvx8o . He says there's a very funny story back in '87 when King Diamond who wore makeup, used to wear the white face paint for a while & says you can see that on the "Conspiracy" cover: http://************/k3uga . He says Gene Simmons actually sued King Diamond & said King's face paint was too similar to Gene's Demon face paint, says this is how little cash Kiss had in the mid 80's with Gene suing King Diamond due to his makeup resembling Gene's. He says it's not like King Diamond has lots of cash & says he's been playing for years but Gene's got a lot more as King would say in his native Denmark "dukkets". He wonders if "dukkets" is the Denmark currency & asks if anyone can help him [NOTE FROM JEFF: it's actually called the Danish Krone: http://************/fleef ], then says King changed the face paint & still has a little bit of paint, but not the whole white face paint & says King's moving on. He says King's hip, happening, bad & nationwide, says so is Gene too as well as he because he says he's Jericho who's the host for you tonight on his show on XM 41 as he said before on 10/1 on "Halloween Fools Day". He says if you were at the Van Halen reunion tour that occurred on the Summer/Fall of 2004, you would've seen what he saw which he says was 1 of the most un-chemistry filled shows of all time, which Sammy Hagar & Michael Anthony on 1 side of the coin & the Van Halen Brothers on the other side. He says not to mention for the fact that Eddie Van Halen's solo's were kind of off, playing the wrong notes, did his guitar solo in Tampa & says at the end of it Eddie says "Boy, did that ever suck s***". He tells Eddie "Dude, you're Eddie Van Halen, you don't suck anything", says the problem was that Eddie started falling apart at the seems & says he ain't talking about Cinderella. He says fast forward 2 years & thinks that his suspicions are reality, says it's because with Eddie instead of doing a new record with Sammy, [David Lee] Roth, [Gary] Cherone, Ron Keel or whoever is now writing music for porno movies. He says you heard him & says there's a new porn movie that just came out [as he spells it] "G-double O-G-L-E" [Google] it & says you'll find out the name of it. He says he himself should have the info & should do it himself, says by the magic of his fingertips & internet & says the movie's called "Sacred Sin" where Eddie wrote 2 tracks for the film:["Rise" & "Catherine"]. He says Eddie's been promoting it like he just re-wrote Beaton, then says Beethoven & says Beaton's a guy from Trenton that wrote some tracks. He says Eddie's talking as if he has Beethoven's 5th that he wrote for the porn film & imitates Eddie by saying "Porno movies are great, BLE-BLE-BLA-BLU BLU". He says Eddie was recently on the Howard Stern show: www.sirius.com/howardstern1 & freaked out on "the other half" being Michael & Sammy doing a bunch of Van Halen tunes in the Summer during Sammy's show, says Eddie called Michael "Sobilanski" & figured that's Michael's real last name & says "the other half" of Van Halen is not Sammy & "Sobilowski" but it has Alex Van Halen. He says Eddie then says his son Wolfgang's a better bass player then Michael Anthony & bragged about wanks off 45 minutes a day in the bathroom. He says this was all said in 1 interview on the Stern show & wonders if Eddie's loosing his friggin' marbles [NOTE FROM JEFF: after clicking this link: http://************/n7m8j , scroll down to where it says "Eddie Van Halen Calls In, Cures Cancer? 09/08/06. 7:05am" & I believe that's what Y2J's referring to] & says that's crazy. He says when Van Halen reunites again will they get Roth & Wolfgang Van Halen, says maybe Alex has a son who can sing & it'll be just "All Van Halen". He says the thing about that situation that bothers him is that even though the chemistry was in the [as he says it] "Twili-Lete", says "Toi-Leten" if you're German, says they wrote 3 songs for the "Best Of Van Halen" record & says the 1st 1 was called "Learning To See". He says the other crap 1 was called "Up For Breakfast", says the 3rd was called "It's About Time" & says "NAH" as Larry David would say. He says the real gem on the record was called "Learning To See", says it's really heavy that has a great melody line & says even though these guys weren't totally getting along & at each other's throats, they still wrote kickass music & says that's what it's all about. He says that's what makes him mad because they still had it in them, says it's just like when they did the "Best Of Van Halen" record & Roth did a couple of songs & had "Me Wise Magic" & says they still had it. He says he don't care if they like each, travel on separate buses but make the music & do it for the kids. He says he himself's doing that for you guys with some VH & Sammy Hagar on the Rock.

.Plays Van Halen's "Learning To See", Mike Martin's "The Trouser Trout" & Foghat's "Wild Cherry".

.Y2J says he can't believe that he's been rocking on the "ROJ" for the last 2 years & has never played any Foghat, says Foghat's not really metal but it's still some kickass rock & roll with some great guitar playing. He says he just got into Foghat about 6 months ago, says they're 1 of those bands is when you hear "Foghat" you'd think of a van & says that's why he thought about getting the record, because he saw a Ford van commercial & in the commercial they're playing "Slow Ride". He says he thought Foghat's a kickass band, says they're in the movie "Dazed & Confused": http://************/lqzug & then tells a great Foghat story abou Sebastian Bach being in the band Madam X. He says before Bach was in Skid Row, Madam X had the crazy, awesome anthem called "You're High in High School", then sings the song & says the band had 2 guys & 2 girls. He says the girls were sisters named Maxine & Roxy Petrucci & says no relation to John Petrucci, says Roxy later on became the drummer for Vixen & says when the original lead singer quit, Sebastian joined in. He says Sebastian was going to quit the band because he was thinking of trying to make it in Skid Row, says Sebastian called the bass player Chris Godzilla Dolaver & says Godzilla had a huge main of New Jersey hair, that was like a wind tunnel, backcombed, hair sprayed mop of hair. He says "Baz" was like "listen man, you know Godzilla, I can't do it anymore & I'm out", says that Godzilla's response was "dude, you gotta stay in this band, we got a huge tour coming up" & says this was like in '86 or '87. He says Bach's response was "huge tour", says Godzilla's response was "Yes, this is going to take us over the top", says when "Baz" asked "who is it, is it Crue or Ratt" & Godzilla says "No, it's not Crue or Ratt but Foghat. We got the Foghat tour dude". He says Sebastian went onto bigger & better things & Chris served you an order of fries this evening when you're at the "steak & shake" & says Foghat's still unbelievably cool with "Wild Cherry". He says this is another thing too, says he has a possessed ipod & says what he meant by that, was that he'll hear a song on the radio. He says he'll then put his ipod on shuffle & says he's got over 6,000 songs in his ipod because he's down like that. He says he'll hear a song like for example he was hearing "Wild Cherry" while driving in Los Angeles last week & thought that was a really cool song, says he gets on a plane to Florida, puts his ipod on shuffle & says he swears on the Holy Bible that the 2nd song, then apologies because he swore on the Bible & says the 3rd song that came up on shuffle out of 6,000 songs Foghat's "Wild Cherry", which he says is the exact song that he heard an hour before & thought it was a great song & will listen to it more in detail soon. He says that happens to him all the time, says his ipod's possessed dudes & says speaking of possessed, he asks as to how about the guitar majesty of Mike Martin's "The Trouser Trout" from the "2 Of 5" album. He says Mike's an amazing guitarist who destroyed the D-Rox Festival yesterday [9/30] as they stole the show with Fozzy, says there was about 10,000 screaming fans in Kansas City, Sedalia, Missouri with Drowning Pool & Fear Factory & says "The Foz" was the best. He says just ask him & he'll tell you, says he don't know what the fans thought & says that's what he thought. He says if you're interested in the "2 Of 5" album to go on www.mikemartin.net or www.myspace.com/mikemartinband & says Mike'll tell you on how to get this record so you'll be able to rock with them. He says if you wanna rock with him [Y2J], says he's always home at www.myspace.com/therockofjericho , plugs www.chrisjericho.com & his email messagesforchris@gmail.com & says he plays lots of requests. He says he'll play some requests upcoming very soon, says that would've been a great segway to get into his requests & says he ain't ready for that yet & says "NOOO NO NO NO". He says he wants to talk about 1 of the greatest names for a tour of all time, says Iron Maiden always had great tour names & mentions "7th Tour Of The 7th Tour", "World Slavery Tour", "The X-Fac Tour", "Brave New World Tour" & says that's great. He says he just heard a new best tour name ever, says it has Aerosmith & Motley Crue who have "The Route Of All Evil" tour, spells the word R-O-U-T-E & says that's a great tour name. He says if you're from Canada or Cowanda, it's pronounced "The Rowt Of All Evil", says that would lose a little bit of the double word play & says "The Rowt Of All Evil" I don't get it & what does it mean. He says "The Route Of All Evil", then says "We are the route of all rock & roll evil" & says he can just see Nikki Sixx & Steven Tyler going off right now. He says Aerosmith did this with Kiss a couple of years ago when they did "The Double Tour", says Kiss actually went on 1st, then Aerosmith went on last, says they both played 75 minute sets & says Gosh, how can you follow Kiss & figures Aerosmith's more of a kickass rock & roller & says he likes Kiss & rather see them then Aerosmith. He says to shoot him because he'd rather see Motley Crue then Aerosmith, says that's the way he is & says if you go member to member, Tyler blows Vince Neil away both as a frontman & singer. He says Joe Perry & Mick Mars is kind of a standoff, says Mick's dead & no one's told him yet but still can play good songs & says Joe's obviously a classic guitarist but not 1 of his favorites. He says to him it's all in the rhythm section, says Sixx & Tommy Lee are 1 of the best rhythm sections in heavy metal history & says it's not only from talent, but also for stage presence. He says if you don't believe him to go check out "The Route Of All Evil":[NOTE FROM JEFF:Here's Aerosmith's tour link: http://************/pwacw & Motley Crue's tour link: www.motley.com/tour ], says if you don't believe that they kick some butt or ass, says this is satellite radio & he can say ass & says let's check this out. He says this is his favorite track on the "Girls, Girls, Girls" record ["Dancing On Glass"], says lots of people don't really remember it & says it's followed from his favorite track from the "Permanent Vacation" record ["Magic Touch"] that also lots of people don't really remember. He says that's what he does by finding the golden nuggets, wipes them off, shines them up & throw them straight to you, The Rock Of Jericholics.

.Plays Motley Crue's "Dancing On Glass" & Aerosmith's "Magic Touch".

.Y2J says "Magic Touch" is written by Desmond Child, Steven Tyler & Joe Perry, then sings "Magic Touch" & says there was little harmonies in the background there & says it was a good record. He says that was kind of Aerosmith's [what sounded like] "return of form" record that brought them back into the national scene, asks as to what's the big hit from "Permanent Vacation", then sings lyrics to the song "Dude [Looks Like A Lady]" & mentions "Rag Doll" & "Angel". He then says in an Irish accent "A big recording for those fellers & I have the record on LP", says there's no segway on this & he's talked about requests & again asks you to email your requests. He says he'll play them no matter what, says if they [XM Radio] have it in the system he'll play it & says if they don't & if he himself has it in his collection, he'll ipod them into his posessed ipod & will actually send the CD to Kevin Kash & to [as he says it] "Cu-Guy, Cool Guy, COOOOL Guy" who he says are his musical love slaves. He says they'll play the songs by putting them into the system & you'll hear them & says he's got 3 fancy, shmancy requests coming up with 2 bands making their Rock Of Jericho debut. He asks as to who're these bands, says he won't tell you & says he'll talk about them after he plays them. He says since you've heard this band [Extreme], says this is for a fan named Kim & it's from the "3 Sides To Every Story" album & says that's a record that he still don't understand. He says then again he bought it when he was 23 & was looking for the "Pornograffitti" album, says it had songs like "Cupid's Dead", "Rest In Peace" & thinks the other song on there's called "Poetic Clown" & corrects himself & says it's "Tragic Comic". He says it had a real long 22 minute song & says now that he's into that more because of the DT or DT's, he says he should check it out again & says it kicked off with a real rocker. He says Nuno Bettencourt was "fleet, fingering it & showing you what he's got" & says he'll show you what he's got here. He says this is "Warheads", tells Kim that she got it right here on XM.

.Plays Extreme's "Warheads", Warrior Soul's "Love Destruction" & Alcatrazz's "Hiroshima Mon Amour".

.Y2J says he never really understood what "Hiroshima Mon Amour" meant, says it's not like it's really a Japanese thing because Hiroshima or as they say it in Japan "He-Ro She-Ma", is actually in Japan & says it's not just a coincidence. He says Mon Amour's a French thing & asks if this was a Japanese/French guy, then asks if "Hiroshima Mon Amour" meant "here's Shima my love"? He then asks if the guy loves the fact that the US bombed the s*** out of Japan, asks if it's like a war veteran writing of the song & asks if the guy should appear on "Greater Good Of God" or "The Longest Day" from Maiden's new record ["A Matter Of Life & Death"] talking about "Hiroshima Mon Amour". He then sings "HOW LONG, HIROSHIMA MON AMOUR", says he don't know & says the thing about the song's that it was by Alcatrazz. He mentions Steve Vai was in the band, says on "Hiroshima Mon Amour" if you didn't recognize the guitar genius of Yngwie Malmsteen, that's combined with Graham Bonnet & says 1 of the best compliments that he ever got was for the "Happenstance" record, had a review in the "Metal Rules" magazine: www.metal-rules.com from New Jersey. He reads a quote from the article that says "Chris Jericho's voice sounds like Graham Bonnet", says that was Graham Bonnet & says if you ever hear any Fozzy & think that he sounds like Bonnet then send him some cash. He says Malmsteen started in Alcatrazz after quitting Steeler when he was 19, then says Malmsteen was sent to Alcatrazz for maximum rockesity but escaped like Clint Eastwood & formed Alcatrazz. He says "Hiroshima Mon Amour" was for a fan named Colin Miller from Pennsylvania that requested it, says squeezed in between Colin & Kim like a sexual twist of 3 lovely people was Warrior Soul's "Love Destruction" & says that was for a fan named Bob. He says he's never played Warrior Soul before, says he's never heard a Warrior Soul song until he just played 1 tonight & says not only is he expanding our musical taste, but you're helping him out to expand his & says for that, he thanks you. He again says he was in Los Angeles last week while listening to "Wild Cherry" & says he saw [Dave] "Snake" Sabo. He says he 1st saw him in '95 in a small town in Japan when Skid Row was touring there & he himself was wrestling there, says Snake was a wrestling fan & came all the way from a 2 hour train ride to see the wrestling matches & says he & Snake became friends because Snake came to check out his show. He says he saw Snake again about 5 years later in LA's Rainbow, says Snake was with Pantera's Rex [Brown] & Scotty Hill & says all just went nuts because Y2J hasn't seen them since. He says he saw Snake walking thru the airport, says Snake no longer plays guitar that much due to neck damage from too many years of rocking, says it's sad because Snake's a great songwriter/guitarist & a great guy. He says Snake actually filled in with Anthrax for a while, says Scott Ian offered him the gig before the reunion tour & says Snake rejected it because he was having problems playing. He says Snake's now managing bands, says his biggest client is Phil Anselmo & Down & says Snake Sabo, wonders if it's pronounced "Sey-Bo" & says Snake's now the manager of Down & Anselmo. He says Skid Row gave Pantera their 1st big opening slot in '92, says Anselmo's returning the favor, asks if you see how this works & says you never know. He says that's why he's telling you to always be nice to people on the way up, because you might see them on the way down & says that's his advice to you. He says his other advice is to turn the f*****g radio up because this song is 1 of the most kickass Skid Row songs ever ["Livin' On A Chain Gang"], says John Cena: http://************/dbdeb ripped off his entire merchandise catalog from the song's title. He says Jericho & the "ROJ", right here on a Sunday night.

.Plays Skid Row's "Livin' On A Chain Gang" & Buckcherry's "Broken Glass".

.Y2J says "Broken Glass" is from the new record "15 Minutes" [NOTE FROM JEFF:It's actually called "15": http://************/lbog7 ] & says it's the last track on the record that's very rocking. He says he was a little bit disappointed with the record because it wasn't "to the nutsack" as he thought it was, says his compadre Eddie Trunk thinks it is, says he himself disagrees & says that's how it goes. He says both he & Eddie agree that Galactic Cowboys are a very underated band, says he's played them before many times & you know he's a fan of them & says he's a fan of Monty Colvin, who's the bassist/singer of the band that he's friends with via MySpace. He says Monty formed a new band after the Galactic Cowboys disbanded called Crunchy, says Crunchy's a very Cheap Trick type sounding band that almost sounds like a Blink 182 & a power-pop type thing. He says he wasn't gonna play anything from the Crunchy record because although it's not metal, but it's still like he's said before his show's The Rock Of Jericho & not The Metal Of Jericho & says when he hears something on a record, he feels it's something that you'll like. He says even though listening to it did sound a bit Blink 182-ish, but then he did find a couple of songs from there that're also Galactic Cowboy-esk & says Monty plays everything on these records except for the drums. He says Monty's based out of Kansas City, then plugs what he thought was the band's website www.crunchy.ws [NOTE FROM JEFF:HE SEEMED TO UNKNOWNLY PLUGGED AN X-RATED SITE & DON'T VIEW IT IF YOU'RE UNDER 18, so go on either www.montycolvin.com or www.myspace.com/montycolvin for info on the band]. Anyhow he says he wants you to hear their because it's crunchy, says he'll 1st start off with a refresher course by hearing Galactic Cowboys, then after that it's Crunchy. He says both has Monty on vocals & bass, but on 2 separate sides of the coin with a little bit of Monty Colvin then & a little bit of Monty Colvin now. He says if you've never heard of either band or Monty himself, you're gonna be experienced & says if you've never heard of Chris Jericho, then you can just go & f*** yourself. He says he's leading the revolution & it's XM & the "ROJ".

.Plays Galactic Cowboys' "Stress" & Crunchy's "Vampire Girl".

.Y2J says he's keep this "Halloween Fools" thing alive with Monty & Crunchy's "Vampire Girl", asked if you liked it & thought it was cool. He says he liked Monty's voice & says that's it, he just likes it & that's all he has to say on it. He says you know he's a big Loudness fan & has done a 1-2 punch of them 2 weeks ago from the "Soldier Of Fortune" record, says there's another song from the record that he almost played & made it a 3 punch & says it wouldn't fit the whole gimmick. He says it's funny because if you've ever watched VH1's "The Flavor Of Love": http://************/em3uq & asks as to how can you not love the car crash aspect of it. He says [Flavor] Flav's a nut as well as the girls on the show, says the song on the "Soldier Of Fortune" record called "Danger Of Love" & sings the song. He says for some reason he's transposed to [& sings] "THE FLAVOR OF LOVE", says it's been running thru his head & asks if you've ever heard a song that don't leave you alone & continues in your brain over & over again & dramatically says "IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY". He says it's not as if he hasn't had Loudness songs thru his head before, then sings "ROCK & ROLL CRAZY NIGHT" & says all those other things & again sings "THE FLAVOR OF LOVE". He says he'd thought he shared that with you & maybe spread a little bit of the ridiculousity of the whole situation onto you, says he's talked to Mike Vescera who's the only English guy in Loudness & says he's got nothing more to say about them. He says you have to hear this song "Danger Of Love", asks to help him out when the chorus comes up, just imagine Flavor Flav going "YEAH BOYYYYYYYYYYY!" & like sister, cuddles, noodles or whatever he's naming the girls by saying "YOU FAT B***H, I'M GONNA SHOW YOU THAT I LOVE MY MAN, THE FLAVOR OF LOVE". He says these are little games that he plays to keep himself motivated as if playing good rock & roll for you ain't enough, asks you to follow along with him, follow the bouncing ball & repeat after him when hearing the chorus. He says let's have some fun & says this Loudness on the "ROJ".

.Plays Loudness' "Danger Of Love" & although it didn't show the band's name or song title on my XM screen, it's Dragonforce's "Storming The Burning Fields".

.Y2J says Dragonforce's "Storming The Burning Fields" is an evil heavy metal song title & says Dragonforce's 1 of Zakk Wylde's favorite bands from this year's Ozzfest: www.ozzfest.com . He says why not, they're a great band with great guitar soloing, says thank goodness there's finally bands coming back that have long hair, the whole metal vibe & asks to bring them on & have more of them. He says he loves playing them on the show, loves expanding his metal horizons & says it's because he loves the new Iron Maiden record ["A Matter Of Life & Death"], but says they're almost 50 years old. He asks as to who'll be around to carry the torch when Maiden finally hangs it up & packs it in, asks if it'll be Dragonforce & hopes so dammit because they deserve it. He says we & himself also deserves it becaues he's cool like that, says before "Storming The Burning Fields" was "Danger Of Love/Flava Of Love" & asks if you played along & was it fun. He asks if you'll go home tonight, says if you'll all gather around at some huge Rock Of Jericho party & asks if you'll drive home singing that song. He then annouces that every week on his MySpace page, then plugs it again & says you can go to a chat room & chat with dozens, hundreds, thousands & asks as to how many people listen to his show. He says you can listen to the show on his MySpace page, then comment on the songs & have a little bit of fellowship with others on the chat room during the show. He says this chat room was set up by his personal assistant as he likes to call him "Pister", who runs Y2J's MySpace page & shares duties on his www.chrisjericho.com site with "webmaster Lee". He says he'll get actual details for this for every week his assistant will say if you wanna check out the "Chat Room Of Rock", just click onto www.metalattitude.com/chat , says you'll get to know friends & fans of the show & chat with others on what's playing on his show, "The Foz", Jericho & everything else. He says if you want you can check it out, says his invitation's coming to you & says maybe he himself will come in the chat room & listen also. He says he'd like to talk to someone named "Sexy Buttercup" & says she knows who she is, says again they're some pretty girls that listen to his show as well as some good looking guys & says he don't know as to what he's getting at. He says what he does know as to what he's getting at is that his show's over & says thank God before he sticks his foot in his mouth anymore. He says as if he can ever do that, says he's Jericho dammit & he can say what the f*** he wants & says he's Y2J. He says a fan named Elden emailed him a great idea for Y2J's finishing epic, says he agrees with Elden because Helloween put out "Keeper Of The 7 Keys Part 3:The Legacy" & says the opening track was probably the best song on the record, which should've been the closing track the same way that Helloween & "Keeper Of The 7 Keys" were. He says they did open the record with it & he'll now close his show with it, says he's over, finished, gone, done & out with Helloween's "The King For A 1000 Years". He says this is from the king of the world [Y2J] no matter what anyone says, says he's Chris Jericho, it's "The Rock" & says he'll see you next week right here on XM 41 & sings "THE FLAVOR OF LOVE".

.Ends with Helloween's "The King For A 1000 Years", show ends at 10:02PM.
