WWE announced on Saturday that the first ever Women’s Tournament is taking place this summer. The announcement was made at the “WWE Reimagined” presentation held at a business partner summit in Orlando, Florida. Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Bayley, Alexa Bliss and Asuka were on hand for the presentation.

32 female competitors from 17 countries are set to compete in the tournament, which will air exclusively on the WWE Network.

Last year WWE saw tremendous success with the Cruiserweight Classic and the United Kingdom Championship tournament, both of which aired on the Network. Those events led to the creation of two new championship titles and the acquisition of many talented performers from across the globe.

More to come on this developing story.
