The WWE’s Money In The Bank ppv event is set to go down later this month (Sun. June 18, 2017) from the Gold Bond Ultimate Arena in St. Louis, Missouri. As always, a MITB Ladder Match will be held where the winner is guaranteed a shot at the WWE Championship whenever he’d like.
This year’s participants consist of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, United States Champion Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, Baron Corbin and Sami Zayn. Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer was recently a guest on The LAW: Live Audio Wrestling and discussed the upcoming match, and named Baron Corbin as the leading favorite to win. Meltzer noted that the WWE is very high on the former NXT star and that they have been looking to elevate him for some time.

Meltzer did note that he can’t really see a program between current WWE Champion Jinder Mahal and Corbin, therefore it’s possible Corbin would hang on to the briefcase for some time before cashing in.
It certainly isn’t a done deal that Corbin will be the one to walk away victorious from the match, however, Meltzer certainly does raise an interesting point.
