When the reports of Bobby Roode making his Main Roster debut and joining the SmackDown Live first came out, it was speculated that he could take Baron Corbin’s place on the Blue roster since officials have lost faith in Corbin, although apparently, that’s not the case.

During the latest instalment of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer talked about Roode’s debut on the Main Roster. He indicated that the former NXT Champion will be working as a face and would possibly be taking the spot of John Cena on The SmackDown Roster.

This is an interesting news as so far we have only seen the heel avatar of the former TNA Star on WWE TV since his debut on NXT back in August 2016 and we are yet to see him working as a babyface in the company.

As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, Bobby Roode made his Main Roster debut. He acted as a face during his first appearance on the Blue Brand and defeated former NXT Star Aiden English who is a heel.

On the other hand, John Cena returned to Raw this past week and it’s been reported multiple times that he is done with Smackdown for now and the Leader Of Cenation will be only be appearing on the Red Branded show in near future.
