— As seen on this week’s episode of SmackDown Live in Brooklyn, NY at the Barclays Center, Shelton Benjamin made his return to WWE. He appeared in a backstage segment with SmackDown General Manager Daniel Bryan and Chad Gable. Bryan informed Gable and Benjamin that they would be a tag team. They will be in action next week.
For those who are wondering, Benjamin, who had been rumored to return to the company since he was cleared in March, didn’t officially sign his WWE contract until last week, according to The Wrestling Observer.
— WWE continues to leave out WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. The sports entertainment company sent fans a survey this week to ask them to select their 10 favorite WWE Superstars, NXT Superstars or WWE Legends. Bruno Sammartino, Dusty Rhodes, Eddie Guerrero, Goldberg, Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, Shawn Michaels, Sting, Steve Austin, Randy Savage, The Rock, The Undertaker, Triple H and The Ultimate Warrior were featured on the survey. Hogan was left out of it.
