The ‘War Games’ will return.
The match that was popularized in WCW in the 1980’s featuring two rings next to each other surrounded by a steel cage was revived for a recent edition of WWE NXT Takeover with three teams — The Undisputed Era, the Authors of Pain with Roderick Strong and Sanity — faced off last November.
The three team showdown was well received by WWE fans and now they will do it all over again.
WWE will resurrect the ‘War Games’ for the next NXT Takeover event in November 2018 during ‘Survivor Series’ weekend in Los Angeles. The news was first reported by AXS on Monday.
WWE NXT Takeover will take place on Saturday night, Nov. 17, one day prior to Survivor Series, with both events happening at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Obviously the event is still several months away so it’s impossible to know who will participate in the match but it appears WWE liked the first one enough to do it again this November.
