The episode was expected to increase in viewership as this show was heavily hyped. This episode finished fifth for the night in total viewers on cable.

It featured the returns of Roman Reigns and WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. For Flair’s birthday celebration, WWE shot an angle where Batista attacked the legendary pro wrestler. It was hyped to be a night where the company was celebrating his life and career but before he was able to walk out to the ring, Batista attacked him in his locker room and dragged out to the hallway.

Some of the matches that took place include Aleister Black & Ricochet vs. The Revival, Natalya & Ronda Rousey vs. The Riott Squad, Kurt Angle vs. Jinder Mahal, Finn Balor vs. Lio Rush, Drew McIntyre vs. Dean Ambrose, Bayley vs. Nia Jax.

WWE hyped the Fastlane PPV and the matches taking place at that show. WWE will attempt to keep up this momentum with its viewership for RAW next week.
