Last year saw WWE host their first ever all women’s pay-per-view event, Evolution. The show was filled with current and former WWE Superstars, including Hall Of Famers, Trish Stratus and Lita. The event would be headlined by the RAW Women’s Championship matchup between Ronda Rousey and Nikki Bella.

In a recent interview with The National, WWE Chief Brand Officer, Stephanie McMahon, spoke about the future of the Evolution PPV, and whether it would return.

Her response was coy, avoiding a straight confirmation or denial. Stephanie has been in Saudi Arabia for the start of the 2019 Special Olympics World Games.

“We haven’t announced any plans yet for Evolution but we have a lot of things in the works right now,” she said. “One thing that is important to note with Evolution that it was our first ever all-women’s streaming special pay per view is that it trended No 1 worldwide for two and a half hours during the last game of the World Series and during NFL Sunday Night Football. Both huge audiences in the United States but it was WWE Evolution that was trending No 1.”

At the time of writing, there has been no second Evolution announcement or date set. WWE has turned a number of recent events into annual outings, such as the Mixed Match Challenge and the Mae Young Classic, so it’s surprising that they have yet to confirm (or deny) another Evolution.
