WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair was a recent guest on State Of Combat with Brian Campbell to talk about a wide range of topics. During the interview, she was asked about how she found out that she would be apart of a historic match at the biggest event of the year for WWE, WrestleMania 35.

WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch vs. Flair will headline the show. This was when she brought up how WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon told them personally about it.

Flair started out by stating that this might be the pinnacle of the women’s evolution, but she wants to take it further and that the realization hasn’t hit her just yet.

“Vince told us, all three, personally, just how proud he was and congratulations, and that we earned it. Coming from the boss, it just meant so much. He is trusting us with his biggest show of the year, and his belief in us is what means so much.”

She added that she didn’t know if they were going to be the main event as she had hoped so and that if they were going to be the main event then why hasn’t it been announced yet. She brought up there are other matches being announced as the main event which is is why she as still a little surprised when got the call.

WWE presents the WrestleMania 35 pay-per-view event on Sunday, April 7, 2019, in East Rutherford, NJ at MetLife Stadium that will air on the WWE Network.
