While Chris Jericho’s signing with AEW was still a shocking turn of events, Jon Moxley is the first actual star to have jumped ship from WWE to AEW. Many believe Moxley’s move and his comments about WWE’s creative process was one of the reasons why WWE brought back Eric Bischoff and Paul Heyman in the executive director role.

During a recent interview with Store Horseman, Jon Moxley talked about a number of things like every wrestler being different in the ring; AEW matches not being as overproduced as WWE and more. During the talk, the former WWE Employee also revealed his thoughts on the appointment of the new creative directors.

Moxley said that they have definitely made some kind of move and claimed that Heyman is really smart. Continuing, he said that this move sounds like a great idea and he hopes that Vince will let them do their ideas. He also talked about Eric Bischoff saying that Bischoff who was behind the NWO has also presided over some crappy WCW shows and he is probably very motivated to make everyone forget that part of his resume.

As we noted before, Paul Heyman started his stint as the Executive Director for Raw from last week’s episode itself. While he is not expected to take the full control of the show just yet, Heyman had input in segments such as the opening match between Bobby Lashley and Braun Strowman on Raw. On the other hand, Bischoff is not expected to begin his tenure right away and he is expected to take over things after the Extreme Rules PPV.

Apart from this, Jon Moxley also talked about how people are seeing the rise of AEW as the start of a new Monday Night Wars, and he said that it’s not going to be the case. He explained that it would be a fool’s errand to try and take WWE down and it wouldn’t be good for wrestling business.
