Despite her best efforts, Liv Morgan was unable to upset Charlotte Flair during last night’s episode of SmackDown Live.

The former Riott Squad member held her own against “The Queen” for the majority of the match—at one point almost coming away with the victory. The end result, however, would see Charlotte Flair leave the ring with another ‘W’ in her win column.

Afterwards, Liv Morgan would grab Corey Graves headset, before emotionally teasing a change. Making reference to comments made by Flair earlier in the night, Morgan confessed that “Charlotte was right…and when I come back, I’m going to be real!”

This limited promo time came off the back of Morgan’s involvement in SmackDown’s Town Hall segment that opened the show. It was her statement during this portion of the show that would lead to the matchup between herself and Flair.

Following her Town Hall participation and post-defeat promise, Liv Morgan was trending on Twitter.

Given that Morgan on the cusp of a new storyline—perhaps even a gimmick change—this renewed interest and popularity should hopefully bolster WWE’s faith in the Superstar going forward.

Morgan was one of the Superstars mentioned during Kevin Owens’ explosive anti-Shane McMahon promo, made last week.
