As expected, All Elite Wrestling has confirmed that Cody Rhodes will battle Shawn Spears at the upcoming All Out pay-per-view event.
The promotion confirmed the news in the latest episode of The Road To All Out. Tully Blanchard will be in the corner of Spears for the match as his manager.
The feud was set up last month at the Fyter Fest event where Rhodes went to a draw with Darby Allin.
Post-match, Spears hit Rhodes in the head with a steel chair. The chair was supposed to be gimmick but the planned spot went wrong.
The AEW All Out pay-per-view event will take place on Saturday, August 31st at the Sears Centre in Chicago, IL and has already sold out.
AEW will be announcing more matches for this show in the coming weeks. Here is the updated card:
Chris Jericho vs. Hangman Page – Inaugural AEW World Heavyweight Title Match
Cody Rhodes vs. Shawn Spears
