Another week went by with former WWE NXT Tag Team Champions The Street Profits not wrestling a match on WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW.

With the team being featured on the main roster for several weeks now, many fans have wondered why they haven’t been booked to wrestle. Some details as to the reason why WWE hasn’t done so yet has surfaced online.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE doesn’t want to debut Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins until they’re over with the crowd. They were called up to the main roster by RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman.

There was an idea pitched to make sure the team felt special with the fans so when they do make their debut in action then it would make it a big deal. This is a different strategy than what WWE has done historically with NXT stars being called up to the main roster whether that be on RAW or SmackDown Live.

The latest segment featuring The Street Profits aired on Monday’s RAW where they hyped the Tag Team Turmoil match to determine new #1 contenders to the RAW Tag Team Championships.

Although WWE has already announced on their website that The Street Profits have dropped the titles, the NXT Tag Team Title match between The Street Profits and The Undisputed Era will air on Wednesday’s NXT episode.
