Johnny Gargano is dealing with a neck injury and will not be cleared in time for Takeover: War Games later this month. Gargano was last seen on NXT television being attacked by Finn Balor and management had hoped the two would wrestle on the upcoming event scheduled for November 23rd in Chicago.
Gargano’s injury was first revealed on WWE Backstage last night on FS1 by Ryan Satin. “The severity of the injury is unclear at this time,” Pro Wrestling Sheet’s report reads. No timetable for his return is currently available.
Just the two matches have been scheduled for War Games thus far. Those matches are as follows:
Women’s Division War Games
Shayna Bazler & Bianca Belair & Io Shirai & TBD vs Rhea Ripley & Mia Yim & Tegan Nox & Candice LeRae
Men’s Division War Games
Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly, & Bobby Fish (Undisputed Era) vs Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Matt Riddle & TBD
