WrestleMania, Chyna Update, Vince McMahon

WWE’s DVD distribution deal with the Weinstein's Genius Entertainment has been getting a load of media coverage today. There is a story in the New York Post and the Kevin Federline appearance has also gotten the company some publicity.

In today’s Daily Variety, the WWE DVD distribution deal is on the cover and continues on the inside. On the continuation page is a headshot of Vince McMahon and photo of Kurt Angle.

WWE has announced the kickoff of their WrestleMania Reading Challenge yesterday.

Todd Shane of the Gymini publicly announced his engagement to Dafne Alvarez today in Florida newspaper the Galesburg Register-Mail today. The couple will be getting married on October 27th. Our best wishes to the happy couple.

The following is a Chyna update from Ian: Joanie recently appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" to promote "The Cougar Club" and TBS' "Midnight Money Madness". A new "Illegal Aliens" PR tour is being scheduled for early 2007 to promote the film. In March 2006 Joanie went to New York to promote the movie and in early 2007 both Anna and Joanie will be doing a multi-state tour to promote the movie. Tour dates will be announced as it gets closer. The film's release has been delayed at request of Anna Nicole due to her son's death but the film's director David Giancola has stated that it will be released in coming months. The debut of "Surreal Life Fame Games" starring Joanie on VH-1 has been moved to 1/7/07. With the new season of "Hogan Knows Best" coming out it is likely they didn't want two pro wrestlers back to back.

The Ultimate Warrior will be taking WWE back to court on October 26th. The Ultimate Warrior is alleging a number of defamation claims, based on the WWE's "Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior" DVD.

Its silly to not put two similar shows back to back. Its exactly what Spike is doing with TNA and UFC. You put the most popular show on first and hope the fans are intrigued enough to carry over to the next show. How many people are going to watch a show starring Chyna anyway? That show is going to need all the help that it can get.
