WWE has been on a releasing spree over the past few weeks/months; with some surprise names being given their marching orders by the company.
With yesterday’s news of Braun Strowman, Aleister Black, Lana, Ruby Riott, Santana Garrett and Buddy Murphy being released; it has now also been revealed that the rest of the roster were informed of the situation before it was confirmed online by WWE.
Dave Meltzer recently reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis sent out the text messages to the full roster. It was apparently confirmed in these texts who was being released on Wednesday 2nd.
There are currently rumors of more talent being let go over the coming days/weeks. It’s not confirmed exactly where these cuts will be coming from, but it looks as though NXT UK might be on the list.
We don’t want to speculate, but with Strowman on the chopping block it appears that many could be in danger. With speculation of a WWE sale in the near future; more big money names might be on their way out of the company.
