Mandy Rose is no longer under contract with WWE. In a surprising move for fans and likely Rose, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported today that the company has released Rose.

Per the report, WWE felt they were put in a position where they needed to release the former NXT Women’s Champion “due to what they considered the explicit nature of the content on her FanTime page.”

It was added that “they considered this to be outside the parameters of her WWE contract."

Rose lost the NXT Women’s Title to Roxanne Perez on Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT in the main event after being the champion for over 400 days.

Rose defeated Gonzalez to win the NXT Women’s Championship at Halloween Havoc last year with the help of Dakota Kai. She is the third-longest reigning NXT Women’s Champion.

The bout was originally slated to happen on January 10 at New Year’s Evil, but after an angle shot in the opening segment, the match was moved to this show in a headlining spot.

After appearing on WWE Tough Enough in 2015, she was signed by the company and started in NXT. While on the main roster, she was paired with Sonya Deville before going back to NXT in 2021.

We will be providing more details when they become available.
