Despite WrestleMania still being almost two weeks away, the WWE top brass have reportedly mapped out a year's worth of storylines to follow it.

Interestingly, last year's Mania had at least one planned arc for the following 12 months as well. In the main event of WrestleMania 38 Night 2, Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar with both the WWE Championship and the Universal Championship up for grabs.

Vince McMahon reportedly intended for Reigns to hold both titles for the rest of 2022, and at least up to this year's Mania. Despite McMahon's shocking (and brief) departure from the company last year, new head booker Triple H kept the Reigns plans intact.

Now, however, it appears WWE could well be going back to the long-term booking structure of the Cartoon Era. Back during the promotion's '80s run with Hulk Hogan on top, the WWE were notorious for booking angles and matches well over a year in advanced a lot of the time.

Long-reigning WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns will put his belts up for grabs against Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes. On this week's episode of RAW, some potential dissension between Reigns and fellow Bloodline member Solo Sikoa was teased. This comes in light of similar teases between Reigns and Jey Uso in recent months.

According to the Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, the current teases viewers are getting are indeed going somewhere. On a recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Meltzer and Brian Alvarez discussed the segment between Sikoa, Reigns, and Rhodes.

“I will say this," Alvarez said. "From watching the Friday show and watching this segment here, it is clear... From watching these two shows is that they have a post-Mania plan."

In response, Meltzer confirmed that a whole year of post-Mania plans are on the way,

"They have a year of post-Mania plans.”

The pair went on to discuss how a lot of storylines are going to grow out of this year's WrestleMania. Considering The Bloodline's lengthy run of dominance in recent years, coupled with the tension teases of late, it appears the faction might be in for a wild ride in the coming months.
