Vince McMahon is back with WWE, but he has no role in the promotion's Creative department.

That's at least what WWE is claiming.

As soon as McMahon returned to the promotion in January of this year, there were immediate concerns about a return as Head of Creative.

After his retirement in July, Triple H replaced his father-in-law as Head of Creative, with the consensus being that the product had noticeably improved.

WWE reps have vehemently denied that McMahon is involved with Creative, and have said his return is to oversee a potential sale of the company.

Fightful Select reports that there are concerns among talent that McMahon could have a bigger creative role than has been let on, and that there have been red flags.

Talent who spoke to Fightful said that there have been more rewrites the day of the show than usual under the Triple H regime.

Characters and gimmicks are being adjusted to a manner in which McMahon had previously preferred, that were relaxed or changed when Triple H took over.

Talent also mentioned that extensive creative plans have been adjusted at the last minute in another common trope of McMahon's creative regime.

WWE and Vince McMahon are aware that a huge blow to talent morale could and likely would happen if he were publicly involved in creative.

The concerns about McMahon's return to Creative have been so openly discussed that they've made their way to the AEW locker room.

While some believe that these red flags all point to McMahon's return to Creative, there is no 'smoking gun' proving this suspicion.

No talent who spoke to Fightful has heard outright that Vince is back in any official capacity, and it is already known that he gives his input to Triple H.

While WWE has a 'Vince's Office' sign backstage, which points in multiple directions, this has been a trope since before his July 2022 retirement.

There are also indicators that McMahon is not back, including the lack of constant rematches, and talent he didn't like getting used on TV.

I think even when he was out of WWE for that time he still had a word in Triple H's ear and I am guessing he still does.
