WrestleMania 39 week and WWE's media blitz are in full swing. WWE Superstars (and executives) are doing the media rounds.

Earlier this week, we covered Nick Khan's comments about the ongoing WWE sale talks and TV rights fees negotiations. On Wednesday, two podcasts dropped featuring interviews with WWE's CEO.

During an appearance on the The Marchand and Ourand Sports Media Podcast, Khan spoke about WWE's tumultuous year, including Vince McMahon's shocking retirement last summer and subsequent return as Chairman of the Board.

He also addressed WrestleMania's role in the ongoing media rights negotiations, Pat McAfee's future and the buzz of Roman Reigns venturing out into Hollywood.

There's been a lot of questions about Vince McMahon's current role with WWE. He's back to facilitate new media rights deals and a potential sale of the company, but is he involved in the creative process?

Back in January, Khan said, "[Vince is] only back to engage in strategic alternatives. Zero [on creative]. None." According to Khan this week, Vince McMahon is ....

"Not that involved. Paul Levesque is the head of creative, was named the head of creative in August. Vince has embraced that, he's respect that. It's also his son in law, so they have their own dynamic."

WWE's Audience, Longterm Planning & Rivals

During a conversation with Colin Cowherd on The Herd, Khan spoke about WWE's never-ending process of expanding its fanbase, scouting talent and more. Here are some highlights of what Khan said about:

WWE's Female Fanbase: “40% of our audience are Women. 50% of the folks who attend our live events, attend with a child. There hasn’t been a fight in our stands, not jinxing it, in 15 years”

Longterm Booking: "Months in advance. Months, months, months in advance. If you said now, 'where is the (WWE) creative team with their process?' They are months ahead of WrestleMania.”

Competition: Khan does not see AEW as a rival to WWE. “I don’t know that we have one," he said. "There’s two answers in my mind to that question Colin. Either we don’t have one or everyone is our rival.”

I find that hard to believe.
