Vince McMahon not only made changes to the WWE Raw script for this week, but reportedly did so in a major way.
This is according to PWinsider.com, which reports that McMahon made the changes to the script before the show went live from Chicago, IL, despite not being at the show. It's unclear exactly what McMahon didn't like or wanted to be added to what the creative team came up with.
“PWInsider.com has been told there have been some major changes to tonight’s Raw script. We are told the changes are being made remotely at Vince McMahon’s request,” PWInsider’s report noted.
The post-WrestleMania 39 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw saw McMahon take control of the show backstage, where he made some changes. Some of those changes were made before the episode went live, while others happened during the broadcast.
This left a lot of talent uneasy after not having to deal with him since last July, when he resigned due to the hush money scandal. Since then, McMahon has not been backstage at any WWE event. However, reports have suggested that he made changes remotely.
Triple H has been in charge of running the shows since McMahon walked away last summer before he returned in January. For now, Triple H remains the chief content officer of WWE.
Monday’s Raw featured the hype around Triple H making a “huge announcement.” This year’s WW Draft is scheduled to begin on Friday and end next Monday’s Raw.
