WWE employees found out on Tuesday night through an email sent out by company CEO Nick Khan that they had been ordered to return to work full-time at company headquarters in Stamford, CT. Some employees have been moved from Titan Towers to the new building that had been built.

Employees have been used to working mostly remotely since the COVID-19 pandemic. Khan and Stephanie McMahon were the ones who instituted the full-time hybrid mode of home/office edict last summer when taking over from Vince McMahon once he stepped aside after the hush money scandal.

However, they will be going back to the office starting this Monday. Pwinsider Elite reports that the news was greatly received negativity among most employees because they found out in an email from Khan in the evening.

Because employees are not robots, these real-life people will have to change their lives and get a new routine. They weren’t thrilled with the short notice to make changes as they will have to come up with a new routine, child care, and other things should they have young children.

The immediate reaction among most people was that Vince was behind the change, although it’s unclear who made the decision.

Those who spoke with Pwinsider felt the world has changed and were far more productive working from home because they were doing so at their own pace. They also didn’t have to worry about traveling to work and working from the office.

One employee noted they had previously spent the day waiting to get out of the office and didn’t have to deal with traffic, "office politics,” and other things. This wasn’t an issue while working at home.

The looming post-merger layoffs soon when WWE merges with the UFC to form a new company adds stress to the employees.
