One WWE NXT Superstar could soon find themselves on the main roster after seriously impressing important names in management.

The draft will kick off this Friday at the SmackDown taping in Corpus Christi, Texas and finish next week on the May 1, episode of Monday Night Raw. WWE has vowed that whichever brand does not draft Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will be granted the new World Heavyweight Championship.

Before this week's Raw got underway in Chicago, Illinois, Cora Jade faced Nikki Cross during the WWE Main Event tapings. For Jade, the match was a full-circle moment, as she used to travel to Chicago's Allstate Arena to watch WWE live.

PW Insider Elite reports that WWE management was "really high" on Jade after watching her match with Cross this week. Some within the company even felt that Jade got herself "in the race for a call-up" to the main roster, presumably as part of the draft.

After appearing for AEW in 2020, Jade was signed to a WWE contract in January 2021. Instead of debuting in NXT, Jade debuted on the January 22, episode of WWE 205 Live in a tag team with Gigi Dolin. Unfortunately for the pair, they were eliminated in the first round of the Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

That November, Jade joined Raquel Gonzalez's team for WarGames, and competed for the NXT Women's Championship the following month at New Year's Evil. It wouldn't be until the Great American Bash 2022 that Jade would win gold, capturing the NXT Women's Tag Titles with Roxanne Perez.

Shortly after the win, Jade would turn on Perez, ending their team and throwing her title in the trash, and kicking of Jade's heel character.
