Bray Wyatt's return to WWE programming could be in the works given that a new writer has been hired to oversee his storylines.

Wyatt's return to WWE at last October's Extreme Rules Premium Live Event was met with universal acclaim by fans. Wyatt's comeback (following his July 2021 release) was the culmination of the cryptic White Rabbit style of promoting, in which WWE offered clues at events for fans to decipher, without ever addressing his impending return directly.

After defeating LA Knight in a Pitch Black match at the Royal Rumble, Wyatt began building to a WrestleMania 39 program with Bobby Lashley. Unfortunately, an illness forced WWE to pull Wyatt from the show, and he was nowhere close to being able to appear during WrestleMania weekend.

Since then, references to Wyatt have ceased being made on TV, and his disappearance has resulted in Uncle Howdy and Alexa Bliss both being removed from TV. None of these three Superstars were drafted or referenced during Night One or Night Two of the 2023 WWE Draft. Despite his absence, Wyatt has told those close to him that he's excited about his return to TV, whenever it may happen.

While there have been no confirmed plans for Wyatt's return to programming, WWE has got something in the works. During the latest episode of the Oh You Didn't Know podcast, 'Road Dogg' Jesse James informed listeners that "we have a new writer, actually, for Bray now. So we'll see how all of that unfolds down the road."

James dropped his revelation while discussing Wyatt, and noted that WWE has often had one writer specifically work with Bray for his promos, who understands the character's voice and can quickly churn out material. The fact that Alexa Bliss has been kept off of TV despite being clear to wrestle has led many to believe that WWE intends to continue her storyline with Bray once the former Universal Champion is fully recovered. In the weeks after his return last October, it was rumored that a faction, dubbed the Wyatt 6 by fans, would feature Bliss as a member.
