Last Saturday’s WWE Backlash PLE was a big success in addition to the company holding the go-home edition of SmackDown the night before from the Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The company also walked away with an extra check of $1.5 million for holding the show there.

From the top to bottom of the card, fans have praised WWE for the event for various reasons, including the booking decisions, in-ring action, and crowd reactions, with many wanting to see the company make a return to Puerto Rico.

Both events were sold out, but for Backlash, WWE loaded up the card with Cody Rhodes beating Brock Lesnar, which headlined the show. WWE brought in Bad Bunny to work a street fight with Damian Priest that saw the celebrity rapper go over.

Also on the card was Omos working a singles match with Seth Rollins. The finish of the bout saw Rollins go over after MVP got on the apron, only to be taken out by a superkick from Seth. Rollins with two stomps for a near fall before connecting with a stomp off the top rope for the win.

This match came a month after Omos put over Brock Lesnar in a singles match at WrestleMania 39 in the opening match of the second night from LA.

Pwinsider Elite reports that those in WWE were very happy with Omos’ performance against Rollins, and the feeling is that it was one of the best major matches he’s had.
