WWE NXT Superstar Gigi Dolin could be soon going by a familiar name judging by a recent post from the NXT Superstar.

Dolin debuted for WWE in 2018 as part of the second Mae Young Classic, where she lost to Deonna Purrazzo in the first round. In January 2021, it was announced that she had been signed to a full-time contract, and debuted shortly after as part of the Women's Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. Dolin is a two-time former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion, having held the gold on both occasions with Jacy Jayne.

Prior to signing with WWE, Dolin worked under her real name Priscilla Kelly in multiple promotions, including Shine from 2016 to 2019, and Tokyo Joshi Pro-Wrestling from 2018 to 2019. Dolin also used the name during her appearance at AEW All Out 2019, and during her match with Britt Baker that aired on the January 23, 2020, episode of AEW Dynamite.

In a post on her Instagram Stories, Dolin alluded to her past, writing "I miss being PK." Fans immediately recognized that Dolin was referring to her pre-WWE moniker. It's certainly interesting that Dolin was allowed to reference her tenure as Kelly, given that WWE rarely allows talent to acknowledge their past before signing.

WWE has often opted for wrestlers to use a company-assigned moniker, in favor of their real names. This is so that a Superstar can't use a name made famous in WWE in another promotion, should they release or choose to leave.

This policy led to several name changes last year with WALTER (real name Walter Hahn) becoming GUNTHER, and Pete Dunne (Peter Thomas England) becoming Butch. WWE did reverse this policy somewhat with Austin Theory and Tommaso Ciampa being given back their first names.
